I Am The Optimizor

Created a challenge for engineers to minimize a smart contract’s gas use and bytecode size. Noah Citron and Matt Gleason from a16z crypto participated and published a technical account of their solution.

An engineering experiment that invited others to build and learn.

Bear Bonds

Built with a team, Bear Bonds became an ETHOnline 2023 finalist and received Mantle’s Best DeFi, Axelar’s Best Use of GMP and Scroll’s Pool Prize. It explored incentives for long-term ETH holders through a vault and position NFTs.

Mechanism design backed by a working hackathon entry.

02 / THE THREAD THAT CONTINUES

When leaving rewards those who stay

In an August 23, 2026 post, Beans connected Standard Reserve to his 2023 Bear Bonds project, saying the team had rebuilt that earlier idea. This is a continuation of an incentive mechanism he had already explored.

Early exit forfeits yield

In the ETHGlobal design, depositors receive a vault-position NFT. An early exit returns principal under the proposed mechanism but forfeits accumulated yield to the vault for remaining bondholders.

STANDARD RESERVE / 2026

Withdraw by retiring a Branch

The whitepaper ties withdrawal to permanent Branch retirement and a Resolution Fee. Half of that fee is burned; half goes to remaining bankers. Its rate responds to system-wide exit pressure. This is not a charge on every token sale.

Beans also credited Chicken Bonds as an inspiration for Bear Bonds in 2023. The lineage reflects adaptation, with each project using its own mechanism. Read the 2023 post

03 / SECURITY WORK

Audit funding support from Uniswap Foundation

On September 2, 2026, Standard Reserve thanked Uniswap Foundation for helping fund its audits and said it was about to enter a second round. The project’s announcement describes financial support for security reviews.

The announcement does not identify Uniswap as the auditor or establish a completed audit. Auditor identity, scope and findings require the audit reports.
